Disneyland Paris has finally confirmed the opening date for its huge park transformation, and it is much sooner than many expected. The newly reimagined Disney Adventure World will officially open its gates on March 29, 2026, marking the start of a new era for the resort.
This expansion brings major upgrades to the park, including the long-awaited World of Frozen, a new nighttime spectacular on the waters of Adventure Bay, and the debut of Imagineering’s next-generation robotic Olaf.
If you are a Disney fan, theme park lover, or you just enjoy seeing the latest breakthroughs in attraction technology, this is a huge moment for Disneyland Paris.
World of Frozen Opens in 2026
World of Frozen will allow guests to step into Arendelle for the first time in Europe. The land features the popular Frozen Ever After boat ride, familiar characters, new dining, a themed promenade called Adventure Way, and immersive views across the large central lake.

Disneyland Paris has said this expansion is one of the most ambitious projects the resort has ever attempted. It completely reshapes the park and sets the standard for future developments including the planned Lion King themed area.
Disney Reveals Its Most Advanced Olaf Animatronic Ever
At a recent press preview, Disney Imagineering introduced a next-generation Olaf figure that is set to appear at both Disneyland Paris and Hong Kong Disneyland. This version of Olaf is one of the most expressive robotic characters Disney has ever produced.

Olaf features full articulation across his face and body, allowing him to blink, smile, talk, move his arms, and even interact naturally with guests. His carrot nose can also be removed just like in the films. The biggest change is that he will be able to hold conversations, which pushes Disney’s character technology to an entirely new level.
This announcement suggests that the upcoming Lion King project in Paris will likely lean heavily into audio-animatronics as well, creating more lifelike experiences across the park.
Introducing Disney Cascade of Lights
Alongside the new Olaf, Disneyland Paris also revealed details for its brand new nighttime spectacular, Disney Cascade of Lights. This show will take place on the waters of Adventure Bay, the large new lake at the heart of Disney Adventure World.

The show uses a full 360 degree viewing layout, meaning guests can watch from all sides of the lake. It combines drone choreography, illuminated water effects, fountains, projections, lighting, and pyro to create a huge immersive display. Disney has also confirmed that both aerial drones and aquatic drones will play a major part in the experience.
The show will celebrate Disney and Pixar stories including Moana, Zootopia and Hercules, and is designed to surround the audience with movement and colour from every direction.
A Major Step Forward for Disneyland Paris
With a confirmed opening date, a world-class new land, a technology breakthrough in character design, and an ambitious nighttime show, Disneyland Paris is clearly stepping into a bold new future. For fans planning their trips, 2026 is shaping up to be the start of something very special.
